Zuvaa’s African Fashions ‘Pop-Up’ in Chicago

This month, Chicago’s Water Tower Place hosted a special pop-up shop event featuring the fresh African inspired fashion designs of the Zuvaa Marketplace. Founded in 2014, Zuvaa was created to encourage change in the fashion industry, and illuminate the beauty of the African culture. The Zuvaa Marketplace collaborates with emerging designers to offer unique, African inspired pieces. Through their garment designs, Zuvaa strives to challenge public perceptions of Africa and it’s population. With this mission, they proudly support fashion designers residing in Africa and it’s surrounding areas. This humanizing company states, “We are a community, we are a movement”.

Zuvaa’s online marketplace maintains this feeling of community, featuring clothing for a wide audience of women, full of vibrant colors and beautifully patterned fabrics. Other shop categories include shoes, accessories, personal care and home decor. While shopping on their website, don’t miss browsing through Zuvaa Magazine for relevant African fashion articles and images.
