A Romp Through Spring

In the last few days, rompers have been the high topic of conversation and debate on social media. This is in part due to the introduction of a line of rompers geared towards a male audience, called the RompHim. The online world has found itself in a tizzy over this Chicago design company’s “crazy” style. Though it may be a new, untraditional concept, what’s there to fear? I welcome anyone who pushes the boundaries of fashion. Besides, rompers are a fun, comfortable way to keep the industry on it’s toes!

Almost ten years ago, I sheepishly tried on my first romper, and was surprised to find how much I loved it! It was made of a black, linen-like material. The sleeveless, short leg length design was perfect for the Chicago summer heat I was facing. It was an easy outfit to throw on, dressing it up with bold, colorful accessories. Easy and chic. Since that summer, rompers have graduated to a new level which reaches from your local department store to the lines of high-fashion. So in the spirit of spring, take a chance and give that romper you’ve been eyeing a try!

Cheers to rompers of all kinds!
